Heavy Duty No Hub Pipe Coupling
Description:- The No Hub Pipe Coupling has been engineered to provide a heavy-duty, all stainless steel coupling, balancing the desire for a more rigid joint with the need to provide a superior positive seal, which can accommodate possible disparities in the No-Hub pipe and fittings. This has been accomplished by manufacturing our coupling with a super-duty corrugated shield of sufficient width to accommodate additional surface-bearing sealing clamps.
- Features:
- Red shield – A distinctive red stainless steel shield easily identifies our heavy duty no hub couplings
- Mechanical interlocking clamp design – A one piece stainless steel screw housing mechanically interlocks the housing to the stainless steel band
- This one piece housing eliminates leak paths that can develop with welded or staked clamps
- Floating eyelet design – The stainless steel clamp bands can move independently from the corrugated stainless steel shield
- This independence prevents the shield from crimping during tightening which can lead to leaks
- 3/8 in Hex head screw – The stainless steel 3/8 in hex head screw is engineered to accept 80 in pounds of installation torque to ensure a secure band/shield assembly around the pipe/fittings
- Formed gasket design – The gasket is designed to form fit around the pipe and the inside of the shield so that when the clamping forces are applied, a superior sealing pressure and holding power is achieved
- The gaskets are made from neoprene which meets the requirements of ASTM C564
